Fun with colour changing - milk experiment

We started off with 4 colours in a shallow plate of milk.
We placed a cotton bud dipped in dishwashing liquid into the middle of the colours and waited for 10-15 seconds.

The colours rushed out to the edges of the plate.

We then made some adjustments to our experiment, e.g. placed the colours on the outside of the plate - they zoomed inwards. We are now thinking about what made this happen and why.

We had lots of fun in P.E today, learning to throw an object.

We were even able to assess our ability to throw by seeing who could 'hit the teacher??!!

Kids these days have far too much fun!
